Ministry sees special contracts with carmakers at old conditions

MOSCOW, Nov 19 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Industry and Trade Ministry plans to sign special investment contracts with car producers Hyundai, GAZ Group, BMW, and the Renault-Nissan-AvtoVAZ alliance at old conditions, Minister Denis Manturov told reporters on Monday.

“We are finalizing (the signing) with Hyundai, GAZ, and BMW. We expect the Renault-Nissan-AvtoVAZ alliance to finish work on their bid too, as we plan to sign these special investment contracts in the regime that we have today,” he said.

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak confirmed that the government would sign special investment contracts with companies that had submitted their requests, Manturov added.

In October, the Economic Development Ministry suggested splitting state support to car producers under special investment contracts into categories depending on plans of the companies.
